This is the Sherwood Tropic octopus, an alternate air source sold on its own. It is the natural match for a Tropic regulator, or a simple add-on to complete another setup.
An octo gives you or your buddy a backup second stage to breathe from if needed, and is standard equipment for recreational diving.
