Gold Coast Scuba is proud to host the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Coral Reef Conservation Program with this engaging, FREE 2-hour classroom session designed for divers and snorkelers who care about our oceans.
In this hands-on training, you’ll learn:
- How to spot signs of coral bleaching and common diseases
- Key environmental threats impacting our reefs
- How to identify different coral species and growth forms
- Step-by-step guidance on recording observations and submitting reports through the SEAFAN BleachWatch program
No prior experience needed – just a passion for the ocean! After completing this class, you’ll be equipped to contribute valuable data that scientists use to monitor and protect Florida’s fragile reefs.
