Course at a glance

• One-day course: PADI DPV eLearning plus two open water shore dives in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
• All scuba gear included
• Taught by an experienced PADI Instructor at a PADI 5-Star Dive Center
• $550 with your own DPV, or $550 + $125 DPV rental (rental free in November and December)

What you'll learn

• Choosing a DPV that suits you and your diving
• Dive planning, pre-dive checks, battery care and basic maintenance
• Controlled descents and ascents and buoyancy while under power
• Staying with your buddy, navigation and communication on a scooter dive
• Handling problems such as a stalled or runaway DPV
• Protecting the reef while you ride

Prerequisites

• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
• Minimum age 12
• Complete the PADI DPV eLearning and knowledge reviews before your dive day
