PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. You'll practice navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and make three specialty dives of your choice, like a specialty sampler. Every specialty dive you complete can count toward a PADI specialty certification. Train with Gold Coast Scuba on the reefs and wrecks off Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

How the course works

Step 1: PADI eLearning

Study at home with interactive lessons on deep and navigation diving plus three specialties of your choice, such as boat, drift, night, wreck, search and recovery, buoyancy, fish ID, digital underwater imaging or underwater naturalist. eLearning takes about 6-8 hours.

Step 2: Five dives with your instructor

Make five dives: a deep dive below 18 m / 60 ft, a navigation dive and three specialty dives. Gain experience, build confidence and discover what you can do.
