The Sherwood Avid is a jacket-style BCD built for comfortable, stable flotation. A 3-D air cell paired with a suspension strap system keeps it from squeezing you when the BC is inflated, and it helps you hold a good horizontal swimming position.
The CQR-4 integrated weight system holds weight securely and makes loading and releasing it straightforward.
This version comes paired with the Sherwood Gemini (SR9000), a two-in-one unit that works as both your BC power inflator and your backup second stage. It operates much like a standard inflator, and it cuts down on extra hoses for a cleaner setup.
Available in sizes XS through 3XL-5XL. BCDs with integrated weights must be used with a full understanding of how they work; read the owner's manual and talk to your instructor about proper weighting and emergency weight release.
